A summary of our Enter and View visit to Windmill Care Centre, where we spoke to residents, relatives and staff. Our visit focused on independence and choice. We have shared with commissioners and CQC.

The new manager is well respected and appreciated. New initiatives have been introduced since her arrival.
The Centre has an award winning garden and encourages residents to use its outside space.
Staff are aware of hydration needs. Food received a mixed reception from residents.
Impact – making a difference
The manager was very open to addressing the recommendations. An extensive action plan has been put in place with several of our recommendations implemented immediately.
